"Vote Blue No Matter Who" somehow magically only ever seems to apply to "centrists" with fascist leanings. The right of myself, my family, my neighbors to exist and access life-saving healthcare is pretty fucking kitchen-table for me, and I'm not interested in budging on that.
I'm not going to vote for a transphobe. This isn't a "strategy," this is just reality. If people so desperately want my vote for whatever reason, they need to nominate a good candidate.
So...I think the left sometimes feels like saying, "I won't vote for this person in the general election" is a way to push other Ds not to support that candidate. "if you nominate this person we'll walk and you'll lose!"

I think that strategy really backfires though. 1

Okay, but it would be *genuinely* hilarious if the US government were to nationalize SpaceX.

Can you imagine? A government-run, well-funded space program of some sort?

Every year my school's GSA participates in GLSEN's day of silence (though sometimes the date is different due to spring break). I participate as well, running my class without speaking out loud for the day. Usually, I feel like I'm facilitating a my-first-protest experience. This year has hit harder

Nothing has solidified the moral bankrupcy of ChatGPT to me like watching people in positions of absurd political power use it to allow them to be heartlessly incompetent at never before seen scales.

Terrible news, one of my 7th graders just explained the Monty Hall problem to me in a way that I not only understood but actually believed.

Pharaoh's repeatedly hardened heart and his commitment to enslaving these people despite the immense cost to host kingdom & his subjects — it's just utterly incomprehensible and unrealistic. Until you look at Netanyahu.

1/SOME CONTEXT to the YouGov poll: Most people don’t know a trans person. We are banned from mainstream media, zero public representation, zero voice. Talked and written about by others - but snuffed out. Over the last six years, the UK public has been BLITZED by a daily negative media campaign,…

Has anyone tried telling suggesting to Trump that he make the District of Columbia a state on the offchance that he thinks he's annexing Columbia when he declares it a state?

We don't have public debates about the appropriate treatment for diabetes, because THE PUBLIC DOESN'T FUCKING KNOW SHIT about appropriate treatment!

Almost every single medical procedure is only experienced by a minority of people. Don't ever think the leopards won't eat your face too.
The idea that there should be a public debate about the appropriate medical care for a minuscule population of children remains one of the most absurd lies that these liberal transphobes, NYT edit board included, tell themselves. No there shouldn’t! It’s not an appropriate matter for public debate!

Here’s how fish farms could double as a climate solution.

A new study analyzes a potential win-win solution for fish health and carbon capture. The critical ingredient is something you might not expect.

I wonder how much long-term public health damage has been done by the use of terms like "flu-like symptoms" (aka, 'feeling sick') and "stomach flu" (aka 'not the flu') from the long-term effects of people who got flu vaccines and then somehow still ended up with "the flu" (not the flu).

Has anyone ever found a bulk supplier of notebooks that have cornell notes inside rather than just simple college rule? I'm talking cheap, bulk production for purchase for an entire classroom, similar to composition notebooks. The closest I've found are legal-pad style.

I'm of the opinion that we should relentlessly mock Trump for being the pawn of a richer, more powerful billionaire until he dumps Elon out of pure insecurity.

Has anyone tried telling Trump that if he signs onto the Rome Statute and repeals the Invade the Hague act, he could send Biden & Blinken to the ICJ for prosecution yet?

You never know, he might go for it.

Truly loving Baldur's Gate 3. I think my only real complaint so far is that there doesn't seem to be much of an option for platonic closeness with your companions?

My take on the crewed versus manned versus human-occupied debate is that maritime tradition refers to the number of people on a vessel as "souls" and thus uncrewed craft should be referred to as "Soulless".
