It's infuriating; bodily autonomy and keeping the government from interfering with people's medical care are both incredibly popular positions within the democratic base. It would be the easiest thing in the world to connect anti-trans EOs with abortion and turn it into a *winning issue*

This is what a 10 cent ramen pack with a multivitamin dropped in the broth is for.

I have never met a single American who wasn't being actively bribed by a health insurance company who engaged in anything even remotely similar to bootlicking behavior with regards to any health insurance company.

Palestinian people, when you posted an enormous massive heartless gif to a post about their suffering.

1) strong agree!

2) It's not hindsight, a whole bunch of us were having these same arguments before the election too.

3) Ultimately, it is a politician's job to earn our vote. Dems can't rely on 'the other guy is worse' indefinitely, *even if that is objectively true!*

Well, YOU did that precisely 47 minutes ago.

The moral choice in the last election could not have been clearer, and Kamala should have put earning votes above her reluctance to break from Biden's deeply unpopular foreign policy. She lost against the most unpopular candidate in history!

To be clear: I voted. But I felt sick to my stomach about it. We lost the moment we took a coalition based on mutual care and tried to convince them that certain sets of people were unworthy of care.

Of course the coalition fractured. It was an insanely stupid strategy.

And if you're trying to build a coalition based around the idea that its your moral duty to care about people and take actions to protect them while simultaneously posting massive "blahblahblah" gifs in response to human suffering, people will start to think that maybe you're not actually anti-harm.
