Big moment for Europe: in December, fully electric cars outsold petrol-only cars in the EU for the first time.

This shows that clear, consistent policy works. Which is exactly why backtracking now would be a mistake. Rolling back targets or creating uncertainty would slow investment and innovation.

Honestly I think one of the biggest problems in front of us from a Dem perspective is how many people don't understand what is and isn't possible until the midterms and after the 2028 election.

Like, A LOT of people over vastly overestimating Dems options until then....

Today, on International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we honor the six million Jewish lives — and the millions of others — senselessly murdered by the Nazi regime. We remember not only the unimaginable loss, but the warning history leaves us.

Kyiv is now into the fourth hour of an air alarm caused by a reconnaissance drone circling endlessly over the city.

I suspect that if this were nighttime - when residents would be inside because of curfew - the drone would have been shot down long ago.

But too many people on streets below now…

Second night in a row: Ukrainian drones hit Russia’s Krasnodar region and Kursk as residents report multiple explosions
Overnight on January 27, Russia came under drone attack: residents of the Slavyansky District in Krasnodar Krai and the city of Kursk reported a series of powerful explosions amid shelling. The same area of Russia’s Krasnodar region was hit by drones for a second straight night; a day earlier, UAVs struck a local oil refinery. Russian Telegram channels reported a renewed attack on the region. An air-raid alert in the region was declared around midnight. Russian monitoring channels warned that drones were heading toward the area. Rosaviatsiya imposed restrictions on landings and departures at Krasnodar Airport. Later, local public pages began posting about an attack on the region. Witnesses told media that explosions started around 1:40 a.m. and were heard across different parts of the Slavyansky District. “Eyewitnesses claim they heard ‘booming explosions and the buzz of an engine’ coming from the direction of the Sea of Azov,” one post said. In total, witnesses counted about 10 blasts. There was no information on the consequences of the attack at the time of publication. Screenshot | residents of the Slavyansky District of Russia’s Krasnodar region counted about 10 explosions On the night of January 26, drones also attacked Russia’s Krasnodar Krai. Reports online said the city of Slavyansk-na-Kubani came under fire, with an oil refinery hit. Also overnight on January 27, residents of Kursk in Russia reported a drone attack. According to local channels , explosions were heard around 1:00 a.m., and witnesses saw bright flashes in the sky amid shelling. Overall, Kursk residents counted about 5–7 loud explosions in different parts of the city. There was no information on the aftermath at the time of publication, and Russian authorities had not commented. On the night of January 25, after a series of explosions, the Russian city of Belgorod lost power; residents reported a massive HIMARS strike. On the night of January 22, drones struck a seaport in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai: terminals caught fire and there were fatalities.
