I'm a reporter looking for people who experienced journeys at a psilocybin center in Oregon or Colorado.

I'm interested in expectations, before/after care and your thoughts on the experience.

This COVID outbreak is no joke, gang. Lots of folks turning up positive. Time to

* Get that new Vax if you can

* Stock up on masks

* Stock up on COVID tests - they are selling out

* Make a battle plan to take care of yourself if you need to quarantine

* Avoid larger events if you are vulnerable

Candon Dean Dahle, 22, was sentenced by Idaho District Judge Steven Boyce to 5-10 years in prison for sexually assaulting a girl for 5 years.

It started when she was 7 years old.

--Boyce then suspended the sentence and placed Dahle on probation for eight years.

The maddening thing is that we know EXACTLY how to prevent this. Yes, kids should get vaccinated, test, stay home when sick, mask as much as possible.

But even without any of that: Better ventilation and filtration in schools can MASSIVELY reduce viral spread, for all sorts of respiratory diseases.

It's the last week to vote for SXSW panels. It'd be groovy if you could vote for "Trip Control" - my panel discussing psychedelic medicine guidelines.

You have to sign up, it's easy, no spam.
Thank you!

THIS is a great idea
About 10% of foster kids go to college, but many arrive with only a bag of clothes.
So a California non-profit started "Dec My Dorm," raising more than $40,000 to help 140 LA-based students.

Now they're aiming at the other 49 states. #college @theguardian.com

Foster kids headed to college often arrive with a trash bag of clothes and no idea that a dorm room comes with .. nothing.

Check out this new LA-based program "Dec My Dorm" that set up 140 students with hangers, sheets and fans.

Now for the other 49 states.

Hey, as a librarian I need to tell you:

Our funding depends on usage.

So go ahead and check out that book even if you don't think you'll finish it. No one will know. Check out that DVD even though you might not like it. Get ambitious in your quest for knowledge.

There are a lot of panels promoting psychedelics at #SXSW but this one addresses safety guidelines.

Can you give the Trip Control panel a vote? I will trade for jokes about cows gleaned from living in Nebraska, Kansas and Wisconsin.

So you want to try ketamine. Or psilocybin. What do you ask the provider? What should THEY ask? How much should it cost? What happens if something goes wrong?

Check out my SXSW panel: Trip Control. Could you all vote for it? Click the heart, that's it participate.sxsw.com/flow/sxsw/sx...

I lost my Mom to pancreatic cancer when I was 19. She was only 47.

My grandmother also died from it at 53.

When Mom was diagnosed, she sat me down and said she knew exactly what I was feeling because she felt the same way when her Mom was dying.

Many people say they want to make friends -but they don't want to make the effort.

I host a #Philly MeetUp w 600 women over 50. I've hosted bingo, movie nights, art pop-ups and happy hours.

One came to bingo. The rest? Zero.

If you want to make friends, you HAVE TO SHOW UP.

CEO pay is up 1,085% since 1978, while typical worker pay is up just 24%.

Why do we always hear "we can't afford to pay our workers more" but never "we can't afford to pay our CEO more"?
