If you want to make comics, you just have to make them. They’ll probably suck at first, but that’s inevitable. The simple fact is, you’ll never get better by waiting around, overthinking, or being scared to fail. You only get better by doing.

Panel 1: EXT. Cerebra Offices—Day. Mike (OP): I hate the holidays. Travel, fake smiles, family guilt trips… but mostly, I hate the peas. Dr. Bill (OP): The peas? Mike (OP): Yeah. The little green bastards. Panel 2: INT. Mike slouches on the couch, arms crossed. Dr. Bill (OP): You're saying your mom still makes you eat them? Mike: Every year. She piles them like she's testing me. Panel 3: Close-up of Mike. Mike: You think I'm overreacting, don't you? Dr. Bill (OP): A little, yeah. Panel 4: Wide shot. Mike leans forward, dead serious. Mike: You wanna know why I hate peas so much? Dr. Bill: I'm billing you either way... so sure. Panel 5: FLASHBACK: INT. Dinner table—Night. Young Mike looks at his plate. His mom barks at him as his dad hides behind a newspaper. Mom: Michael, you're not leaving this table until that plate's clean. Young Mike: But they taste like dirt and death! This is a comic strip: We see a large, old mansion near a forest in autumn. The silhouette of Donavan can be seen standing near one of the big windows. Donavan says: “I’m telling you, Deidre, Uncle Egbert was a terrible businessman.” Inside, we see Donavan up close — a well-dressed young man talking passionately to his wife, Deidre. Donavan continues: “He should’ve sold the old factory when it was still economically viable. But nooo!” An elderly woman in a wheelchair, Aunt Mabel, overhears him and protests. Aunt Mabel says: “If he could hear you right now, he’d be turning over in his grave.” Donavan replies: “Grave? He wasn’t buried, you know. He was cremated.” Aunt Mabel frowns and says: “Then he’d be spinning in his urn.” Donavan corrects her pedantically, with a smirk on his face: “Actually, his ashes were scattered over Raystown Lake.” Aunt Mabel hesitates: “Well… then uhhh…” Outside, we see a duck swimming peacefully on Raystown Lake. Suddenly, a strange wave rises and flips the duck over. The wave appears to have the distorted face of a tormented soul. The duck recovers, looking bewildered, and thinks to itself: “What the duck?”
