Little Nemo in Slumberland by Winsor McCay from July 19, 1908.
In this installment, Nemo’s mother sends him to take a walk in the garden. As he goes, he is met by Flip, who joins him on his walk. When they first arrive, the garden has barely begun to grow, but as the strip proceeds, the various vegetation grows quickly, eventually passing them in size. There are giant raspberries & blackberries. It keeps growing and Nemo and Flip start climbing the plants like trees. It ends as usual with Nemo falling out of bed and waking up.

i'm a few days late, but the #pinkpanther premiered his first theatrical #cartoon around 60 years ago. he was a big part of my childhood. i still have a doll of him.

small art to commemorate the pink panther's first cartoon--The Pink Phink--turning 60 years old in 2024. there are 3 sections. the first section contains numbers that read "12.18.1964," the original release date of The Pink Phink. in the numbers 1, 9, and 6, contain 2, 0, and 2 respectively. the 4 doesn't have a 4 in it, i don't know why. the second section contains the title of the cartoon, "The Pink Phink." the third section contains a recreated shot from the cartoon, where as the nameless painter man is painting the stairs blue, while pink paint comes down the stairs as the little man finishes his job. the M signature is at the bottom of the man's paintbrush. to the right is text that reads "The thing that got me introduced to classic cartoons wasn't just with the cat and mouse. Part of it was a series where, at first, it was a cool cat messing with a painter. Happy late 60th, Pinky. Hope you don't mind the quick pick-up." i know i just info-dumped you, but bluesky wants alt text to be used for blind people consideration, so why not go at it?
