EU has paused retaliatory tariffs adopted yesterday for 90 days. But 🇺🇸steel/aluminium tariffs they were responding to have *not* been paused, they're being levied
So this is how things stand:
🇺🇸👊🇪🇺 tariffs:
25% on steel/aluminium
25% on automobiles
10% on everything else

Trump's stated reason for pausing the extra tariffs on all except China was that they didn't retaliate like China did.
But the EU *did* retaliate, in a vote yesterday. However this wasn't for Liberation Day, it was for the steel/aluminium tariffs from February which haven't been paused.

Nichts in unserem Leben ist frei von Politik. Jedes Objekt, jede Handlung, jede Entscheidung trägt die Spuren von Macht, Interessen und Regeln, die unsere Welt formen – sichtbar oder unsichtbar, bewusst oder unbewusst.
Wenn jemand nach Reformen ruft, will ich wissen: welche? Eine Erhöhung des Pensionsantrittsalters wäre eine Reform. Eine Senkung aber auch. Es beizubehalten und etwas anderes zu ändern, wäre auch eine Reform. Deine Reform ist nicht neutral. Politik ist nicht neutral. Und alles Handeln ist politisch.
