Glad to finally join Bluesky! I've been meaning to for a while but was too busy to make the move. The overt nazism of the owner of the other place finally pushed me over the edge...
There was a recent spotlight in McGill's student newspaper (Tribune) about my team's article in American Psychologist about "multiple relationships" in psychotherapy.

How institutional regulations of multiple relationships gatekeep psychotherapy - The Tribune
Are there risks in enforcing ethical boundaries in the context of psychotherapy? This question arises when considering how and why ethical red tape becomes cemented into clinical practice, especially ...

If you had a conspiracy theory that #McGill executives hate the McGill community and are excited by every possible way to make them suffer: their communicating last minute that Convocation will be in a smelly gym and limited to two family members (at $25 each) would fit with that theory.

For COL-adj. salary and benefits, @mcgill.ca is perhaps THE worst major Canadian univ. for Assoc. Profs, Asst. Profs, and Faculty Lecturers, to work at. (It is just OK for Full Profs.) MAUT's recent report is devastating and ought to spur more faculties to unionize. drive.google.com/file/d/1Z1kv...

I've said this many times before. Conservative reactions to "wokism" in the name of academic freedom are rarely principled.

Better late than never to boycott Airbnb, easily one of the most evil and destructive companies on the planet even if some liberals have willfully ignored this.

Of course, all Canadian governments should end their relationship with Amazon.

For the company’s blatant illegal behaviour in Quebec. And because it’s American.

What’s the argument for NOT boycotting Amazon?

#McGill needs to cut $45 mill and is eying the ranks of teaching and support staff. How about looking at executive salary blow out?
Hmm, where might #McGill get $45 million from?

Based on data from FQPPU, from 2014-2023, the amount spent on executive and management salaries at McGill nearly tripled (rose 2.6x), while total wages to full-time faculty rose only 25%... (1/x)

I've liked Bsky so far as a user. But, though I'm new here and trying to build a following, it seems to be a steep climb. Radio silence to most of my posts, probably because they're not shown to anyone. Probably this one too. Sigh. Hope it changes or it will be hard to keep engaging here.
