And finally...Rick... whose eyes I don't know how to draw! So he came out unintentionally looking a bit semi-realistic. But whatever, lol, at least it gave me an excuse to go mad with brushes. Plus I need to experiment more with backgrounds anyway. 🥲

Image (Art): This is a traditional sketch which I scanned, cleaned up a bit and added colour digitally to, featuring one of Kirby's animal friends Rick who is an hamster-type creature. As stated above, I wasn't entirely sure how to draw his eyes so he's come out looking a bit semi-realistic as a result, which when compared to the other two is hilarious to me. Anyway, seeing as this is a sketch I just sorta drew him standing in a field with grass and a couple of flowers. I also decided to go mad with brushes for this, so it has a very textured feel to it, since for some reason I just couldn't get the right colours for him on the multiply layers, so I got a bit bored and worked on the background instead. Coo Sketch

So, to continue the trend, I decided to draw Coo next because I wanted to, and I only originally drew part of the tree. So I just added the leaves in the background with brushes, because it just looked weird being empty.

Kine Sketch

A couple of months back I decided to watch gameplay videos of the Kirby games I've never played, and decided that I'd doodle Kirby's animal friends. Kine is the first one I drew, and thankfully he looks like himself. I'd be worried otherwise.

Her species is an original creation, but I describe her as an alien that somewhat resembles a sheep. || Artist: yesbutterfly (Image tags, included for clarity for the subject: #kirbyoc ) Image: This is an character design reference illustration of my KirbyOC from the front, side and back, which uses the sketches that I did/started in 2024, I just very slightly updated it to how I have been drawing her recently. (Which is making her look a little bit more 'plushy' I guess.) For further context if this is your first time seeing her she is an alien whose species somewhat resembles sheep, but she's probably a hybrid creature anyway (because alien + sheep sorta thing.) For the moment I've left her eyes (and eyelashes) more or less how I originally drew them for the sketch, despite drawing them a little bit different now. However, the 'rule' I personally go by when drawing her eyes is that they double as her expressions, seeing as she doesn't have any eyebrows; so they constantly change anyway. At some point I'll release some additional design notes about certain things, but in the meantime, if you are curious about how her head covering/hood thing works, go and look at the images of the Princess of Moonbrooke from Dragon Quest II. Now, onward to go work out her 'height' which should be 2 and a half Kirby's tall, but I'm starting to doubt myself....and I'm starting to find that I really don't care about it as such, lol.
