I had a blast with THE RUNNING MAN, in part because it's a faithful adaptation of Stephen King's book, in part because it has something to say about the socioeconomic divide, in part because it's entertaining as hell.

Sometimes I read early movie reviews and they remind me of the days in the early 2000s on movie website forums where people would post “First” and nothing else in response to a story just so their post would be the first one seen. A lot of Letterboxd is like this.

It’s hard to believe but there was a cartoon about an immigrant mouse and it was seen as totally fine and not controversial and not woke because it was an aspirational and nice thing about America that people could come here and find a better life
