My #LastFourWatched for #LetterboxdFriday - I was getting ready for John Patton Ford’s latest by revisiting his first. And yeah, I still think Aubrey Plaza is amazing in EMILY THE CRIMINAL.

GOOD LUCK, HAVE FUN, DON'T DIE is a kooky anti-AI adventure that plays like several episodes of BLACK MIRROR rolled into one.

Sam Rockwell is at his most unhinged in director Gore Verbinski's first film in almost a decade. Out 2/13.

I sort of liked WHISTLE, which is a little clunky in terms of plot and its performances. It boasts some memorable kills and solid direction, making it worth seeing for horror fans.

Check it out in theaters this weekend.

In honour of Melania, here's a reminder that the thing Kane is applauding in this popular gif isn't good. It's very bad! It's his wife singing poorly in an opera he paid for.
a man in a tuxedo and bow tie is standing in front of a crowd .
Alt: Orson Welles as Kane in evening dress, applauding too hard to hide his humiliation.

Besides the ishy Luc Besson of it all, DRACULA is hampered by uneven performances, blatant pilfering from Coppola's 1992 version, laughable CGI gargoyles, and pervasive kitsch.
