Today has been awful. My heart goes out to everyone whose day just got a little more grim when this ruling came out. Horrible, bigoted, terf island.
The U.K. Supreme Court rules that Britain's equalities law defines a woman as someone born biologically female. The ruling means a transgender person with a certificate that recognizes them as female should not be considered a woman for equality purposes.

Absolutely wonderful news for Sunderland - but I think the cost highlights exactly why the choice was to get rid of the Glass Centre in the first place. Refurb was beyond justifcation in comparison to this cost - but God am I glad the tradition has been preserved here www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

It really is isn’t it? For years, the social media realpolitik has been “fit in or F off” for every decision that has been made with no hope of reversal, but now that it’s being used against them, they’re suddenly not happy
