"You are right: the late 1990s was a strange period for me," says Islington-Smythe. "Britpop was over, I was feeling enormously directionless & I found myself spending a lot of time with the actor Bob Hoskins, who I’d met several years earlier during auditions for the movie Who Framed Roger Rabbit."

To be transparent here, I'm from West Australia and while our plate can't challenge any of these, for a while it was graced with the slogan:
"WA - The State of Excitement" 😵‍💫😂
Which state has the worst license plate?

Impartial view here (I'm Australian):
The aim of the plates is legibility so I don't know what Virginia thinks it's doing with serifs, Wyoming has some crazy shit happening too.
But from a design point of view - Idaho is really "I dun know" if people will be able to read it, but who cares!"
Which state has the worst license plate?

I don't normally do this but ... I've also been faced with a large vet bill and while I was able to put it on a card and pay it off, the feeling of dread that I mightn't be able to save my boy was so dispiriting.
I've donated, perhaps you can too?

So clever - and beautiful.
The world needs more of this and less of most other things

Being an adult is nowhere near as exciting as it looked when I was a teenager.
There’s really not much to recommend adulthood except that occasionally you can decide to have ice cream for dinner.

The NHS system isn't the same as Medicare. A lot of GP surgeries won't take new (non-resident) patients and the wait at medical clinics can be loooong.
Also, can you afford to lose your luggage? Permanently?
Insurance to the UK isn't expensive like the US is. Don't take the chance.
Uuuugh debating the need for travel insurance. I mean, Australia has a medical reciprocal care agreement with the UK. Is that not enough?

I think this was shot in India, in which case the posters who are worried about road rules and the driver being irresponsible and a menace to other road users .... have obviously never been a part of the unbelievable chaos that is driving in India. 🤪

I'm sorry America, you were offered alternatives, you were offered solutions - and you declined.
I was led to believe by R.E.M. that I would feel a lot better about this.

As I understand it, they used AI to slightly correct the Hungarian accents of Adrien Brody and Felicity Jones.

Hungarians (who might notice the difference) make up less than 1% of the world's population.

Necessary? I don't think so.

Start of a slippery slope? Definitely.

Exactly. Adulting is nowhere near as exciting and glamorous as it looked when I was a teenager.
OK, I get being a responsible adult… but, every day? Every single day? That seems a bit excessive.
