Qualitative research isn't a consolation prize for when we can't get 'real' numbers. It's a different way of knowing; one that captures complexity, context, and meaning that statistics alone cannot provide.

It's Mamdani! M-A-M-D-A-N-I. You *should* learn how to say it.

Le piazze italiane che si animano spontaneamente nel cuore della notte, sono il segno di un' umanità che non cede alla barbarie, che crede nel diritto umanitario e internazionale, nella pace, nei valori.

Gun violence has such a massive blast radius the stats never capture. Those who witness it in person, the medical professionals that handle the wounds, the injured who carry the damage with them forever, the families shattered, the communities permanently scarred.

Incredibly emotional watching the Sumud Flotilla. How loudly and boldly these leaders fight while the “leaders” of our countries are silent.

Mexico’s grito de independencia made me so emotional. The all female color guard. The recognition of indigenous women. The female president.

Thank you Michael Fanone. For those who do not recognize the name, Michael is one of the officers who defended America on January 6th and was left permanently injured as a result. He is a true hero of our Democracy.

Something I want to make sure doesn’t get lost in the conversation about gun violence…

A lot of students witnessed the shooting of Charlie Kirk.

A lot of students were traumatized by the Denver high school shooting that left three kids in critical condition.

That’s a lot of students traumatized.

I’d argue it’s worth no deaths, actually.

Gun suicide is a public health crisis that claims the lives of nearly 26,000 people in America each year. Too many people are dying preventable deaths because the most lethal method of suicide—guns—are far too easy to access in times of suicidal crisis.
