The choice is impeachment and removal or calamity for the United States. I don't see how anybody watching Trump's speech in Davos can draw any other conclusion. He's a senile madman.

This is the most astonishing graph of what the Trump regime has done to US science. They have destroyed the federal science workforce across the board. The negative impacts on Americans will be felt for generations, and the US might never be the same again.

Moriarty: "A police officer of color who was off duty was boxed in by ICE - she's a citizen - they demanded to know who she was & see her papers. She was going to try to record it & they ripped the phone out of her hand. That happened to a cop. That's what's happening here on the streets of MN."

All of the atrocious, malicious crap that is currently happening in America can be laid at the feet of the Republican Party. They are ultimately responsible for enabling and allowing all this cruelty to happen. Vote every Republican out of office. In every state and county.

We have to resolve to fund education so Trump like cults will be less likely. We will have to make sure that every person has at least a rudimentary ability in critical thinking. Without a plan to bolster education, getting rid of Trump would be just a prelude to the next demagogue.
A day will come when Donald Trump no longer dominates our politics.

Even though this is obvious, it’s hard to keep in mind.

The future will belong to those who can think clearly about what happens next.

But it will be convenient - Trump can assemble all of his "Peace Board", the Hague can reappoint Jack Smith, who can show up and arrest them all in one fell swoop!
Donald Trump doesn't know a war criminal from a hole in the wall. If I were President, I wouldn't invite Putin and Lukashenko, I'd arrest them.

He keeps referring to himself as President Donald J. Trump as if even he can't believe we were stupid enough to elect him.
The way he refers to himself is so weird. Do you genuinely think he believes this? Would love to see his examples list, actually no I wouldn’t…

no-brainer is an apt description of everything Trump proposes.
Hannity also said: "Donald Trump is forever in a state of negotiation. Everything is negotiable."

That's right. Trump will negotiate away every American principle for whatever egomaniacal whim that crosses his oatmeal brain. Such as $100,000 to everyone in Greenland while Americans are struggling.

Mamdani: "I am in support of abolishing ICE. What we see is an entity that has no interest in fulfilling its stated reason to exist. We're seeing a government agency that is supposed to be enforcing some kind of immigration law, but instead what it's doing is terrorizing people."

There was a time when we thought shooting someone on fifth avenue was an exaggeration. Now a US Senator is giving Trump a pass in case he attacks a NATO ally!
CNBC: McConnell has said that if the president moves on Greenland, this would something that Republican senators would impeach him on. Are you in that camp?

TILLIS: I'm not going to go to impeachment. Let's say it was a kinetic action -- I'd immediately go for a War Powers resolution.

At this point it is impossible to speak rationally about world affairs and NOT criticize Trump.
"If great powers abandon even the pretense of rules & values for the unhindered pursuit of their power & interest, the gains from transactionalism will become harder to replicate" -- Carney's speech at Davos is an extended criticism of the damage Trump is doing (though he's not mentioning his name)

There are no understandable reasons to have voted for Trump over Kamala. He was a convicted criminal, known to have featured prominently in Epsteins child trafficking scheme, had led an insurrection to stay in power, and was indicted for espionage. No one who voted for him was a "good person".
I stopped talking to a very, very old friend after he tried to explain to me that Dan Hannan was a genius in Brexit's wake.

I stand by that decision.

If 9 Fascists are seated at a table, and a democrat joins and sits down, there are then 10 fascists seated at the table.
Zelenskyy confirmed that Ukraine has been invited to Trump’s "Peace Council." However, he pointed out a nuance: Russia and Belarus have also received invitations.

Hate to tell you - people do see what he is really all about and voted for him because of it, not despite it.
Don't think I can take much more of Trump! If only people could see what he is really all about. It is the same when it comes to Farage.

commital would work, and it would also allow Trump to experience first hand the difference between political asylum and insane asylum.

Boycotts won't change the people and businesses targeted, but it might cause the Balrog of bigotry and racism that is destroying our country to retreat to the dark shadows from whence it came. The blatant racism espoused by many in this administration would have ended political careers in the past.

Aesop wrote about this behavior a fair few years ago.
REPORTER: Can you speak to your letter you wrote to the prime minster saying the Nobel Prize influenced your thinking on Greenland?

TRUMP: I don't care about the Nobel Prize. First of all, a very fine woman felt that I deserved it and really wanted me to have the Nobel Prize, and I appreciate that.

If all the "last straws" for this Trump administration were collected it would feed all the animal herds in the US this whole winter.
You would think!! But we have republicans wallowing, literally just rolling around in trumps shit and apparently loving being part of the destruction of the world as Trump sees it.

In other news, Trump is considering Typhoid Mary as RFK's replacement when the time comes.
Un-fucking-believable. Trump is such a goddamn traitor.
