The cool thing is that the self-placed checkpoints are more useful than ever with the open world approach too! I really feel like this game is unlocking the full potential of the mechanic.
I remember bouncing off Demon Turf a little as the self-placing checkpointing (only 2-3 per level) was something that made me MORE anxious about checkpoints rather than less. Learning that they've been made infinite in the upcoming Demon Tides has 100% sold me on it.

I've found that AI generated slop accounts really hate confirming that what they're posting is AI. They'll go so far as to hide posts saying it.
