Farmer, former Vermont State Rep, Senator, & Lt. Governor. Always fighting for progressive change and now, more than ever, democracy.
The Patriotic Millionaires have a bold demand: A working-class tax cut, paid for by millionaires.
It’s the core of their "Flood the Red Zone: Save America" campaign to combat extreme inequality. They believe taxing the wealthy fairly is the key to economic stability. #TaxTheRich

Furious. That’s how I feel.

Last night I spoke at the District Redistricting Task Force meeting in Rutland. Over 200 people attended — one of the largest public meetings in years. The message was clear: Vermonters are skeptical of Act 73

Happy Pride Month to the LGBTQIA+ community in Vermont and across the country. While the federal administration continues attacks on folks trying to be themselves, it’s important for us to be strong allys and celebrate everyone everywhere.

As I listened to the news this morning I, like many, was struck by the news of the passing of the Pope. While I am not religious, I am still moved by the transition that this represents and the scale of the impact that he has had and will have on our world. 🧵

On this day commemorating “Bloody Sunday” (March 7th) 60 years ago on the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Alabama, I want to acknowledge the long fight for freedom in our country.

This past Sunday, I had the pleasure of heading down to Weston to speak about post-election work with the Weston Democrat “Flock” group. During a time where so many folks are confused, scared and seeking support, we all need to make sure we take care of ourselves.
