If - and it's an if - #lfc's complaint results in PGMOL acknowledging that they didn't adhere to their (presumably obligatory) VAR processes, processes that were largely put in place owing to VAR failings coincidentally against the same club, it only further legitimises the idea of VAR's abolition.

Fabulous goal. And came from an offence where Mo Salah might not have been offside and would have been an #lfc corner.

Just a quiet reminder that countries shouldn't own football clubs.

The simple question for the officials is whether Robertson - who is an offside position - interferes with the goalkeeper by preventing him from playing or being able to play the ball by clearly obstructing his line of vision. #lfc

If Wirtz can create at the same rate and someone can convert today that would be very nice. #lfc

The list of problems with the prosecution's case was a foot long.

A not guilty verdict, accompanied by many sandwich jokes. “Jurors showed no appetite for the Justice Department's case against "sandwich guy," the D.C. resident who chucked a Subway sandwich at the chest of a federal officer, finding him not guilty on Thursday after several hours of deliberations.”
Jury acquits D.C. 'sandwich guy' charged with chucking a sub at a federal agent
Sean Dunn faced single misdemeanor offense after federal grand jurors refused to indict him on the felony charge sought by prosecutors.

Two things about #lfc's goal.

(1) The quickly taken throw-in was a result of Wirtz harrying Huijsen, as he did repeatedly.
(2) There's no need for Bellingham to make the challenge, but he remains indisciplined, especially when he's ineffective and being played out of the game.

Fun that Mamdani is an Arsenal fan. It'll leave supporters wondering what it's like to be progressive, fun to watch, and actually win things.

Wondering if polling underrepresented Democrat voting intention. Aggregates below are the *highest* achieved in various polls of polls.

Sherrill - currently 56% - 50.6% in aggregate polls.
Spanberger - currently 57.5% - 53.1% in aggregate polls.
Mamdani - currently 50.4% - 46.1% in aggregate polls.

Recency bias perhaps, but that honestly feels like an overall better performance against Real than the 4-0 under Rafa. #lfc

Mac Allister scoring bullet headers was the obvious way #lfc were finally going to find the net.

More annoyed that for a third time now the ref has been in the way of #lfc players.

If it's a foul, it's a penalty. But I'm not convinced that's really handball. #lfc

John Lewis very much back to form with this year's Christmas ad - and using Alison Limerick's "Where Love Lives".

In trade mark news, UEFA has applied to register the not at all wordy mark "UEFA Ultimate Champions Legends Tournament". I feel it's in need of more superlatives to make sure people really understand its status - perhaps the "UEFA's Greatest Supreme Ultimate Champions Superstar Legends Tournament".

In good news, the far right PVV is predicted to both lose seats and no longer be the largest party in the Netherlands. D66 (the predicted largest party, centre/centre-left) likely to forge a coalition with GroenLinks-PvdA (left/centre-left), VVD (centre-right), and CDA (centre/centre-right).
