After the Reichstag Fire in 1933, Hitler demanded and got the enabling act that ultimately ended democracy in Germany and made him a dictator. That is exactly what Trump is going for here with his call for Congress to give him more power. We need to he heeding those really loud alarms.

This is bad. TLDR: climate change killing off the tiny things the whales feed on risks disrupting the entire planetary ecosystem and that will affect us too.

God can we please get people-both in power and in general-to stop being so ignorant about this.

Wonder how much the next occupant in the White House will be able to get us back by melting down all that tacky gold crap and selling off the Saudi plane. Enough to pay to restore the rose garden at least?

So first off, I don’t see this as “clarification”, it looks more like a waffle and a non answer. In fairness, maybe he doesn’t mean it that way. But that’s how it comes across to me.

Nuclear Experts Say Mixing AI and Nuclear Weapons Is Inevitable
Human judgement remains central to the launch of nuclear weapons. But experts say it’s a matter of when, not if, artificial intelligence will get baked into the world’s most dangerous systems.

Seconded. Let’s tear that tacky ballroom down like they did the Berlin Wall.
When we get a real president, I want Jackie’s rose garden restored. I want the Kennedy Center name put back. I want that $200M gold-plated ego chamber demolished. And I want the Saudi jet dropped in the water outside Mar-a-Lardo and turned into a nonstop immigrant welcome tour.

Ryan Walters-the Republican Ed Superintendent in OK-went on a religious crusade against public schools & books, got caught with porn on a state computer, alleged it was a plot by his fellow GOP Gov, & now there’s evidence that he shared porn with legislators. www.fox23.com/news/local/f...

Memo to any Dem running for President in 2028: Healing the nation isn’t going to take a President extending an olive branch and trying to put the abuses of this administration behind us. That’s a recipe for making the future worse.

Healing the nation is going to take justice and accountability.

I want Dems like Pete Buttigieg, Gavin Newsom, and Ruben Gallego to stop picking on trans women to try and get ahead. That the swimmer that made a career bellyaching about trans athletes tied for fifth with one and the four women ahead of them were cis should speak volumes.

The Democratic Party doesn’t need to abandon anyone to win again nor should we. Growing our tent does not mean shrinking it in certain quarters, it means communicating better and delivering real results across the board.

Best moment from today’s protest: Trump supporter stops his truck to curse at some college age protestors. The kids immediately stand up and start saying the Pledge of Allegiance. Dude got quiet and sat in his truck clearly not knowing what to do then drove off.

Somehow if feels like someone finally cut through the miasma we’ve been living under. Like @booker.senate.gov may have snapped us out of the daze we’ve been in since November & brought us back to reality. Maybe that’s overly optimistic, but I choose to hope this is a beginning & act accordingly.

We will absolutely get through this moment in our history and make better days come after. It will be hard and painful; it will get worse before it gets better; but this country will get through it and come out stronger and better so long as we persist.

This pains me to see. We fought so hard to protect this wonderful right our state constitution guarantees us in 2020. Now Republicans in this state are stripping that right away to protect their power.
