Anybody making a wipeout/extreme g style racer and in need of some music? I've been jonesing to make some 90s breakbeat!

Currently working on 3 very different musical projects, and I have not yet imploded! I was worried the styles would start to eat into each other, but so far, so good.

Raided my freezer and ended up making a pretty decent late lunch. Fish sticks, fries, and some cheddar biscuits. Had some cocktail and tartar sauces to dip in to. Who says you can't eat good with random freezer foods? Not this guy!

Pulles into the drive-through of a fast food place today and was met by the usual automated welcome message. This is usually followed by an actual person who then takes my order. Except, the automated voice kept talking and even took my order. Tried to upsale me for every item, too. It was weird.

I'm good at lots of things and can pick up new stuff relatively quickly. Not great at any one thing, but good. More a jack of all trades, but master of none. So, I guess maybe I'm really good at being flexible and filling in places where there is a need.
Artists, I think we're all too comfortable sharing our imposter syndrome.

I would love to see you step out of your comfort zone and confidently state what you think you're actually really good at.

No self deprecation, just what you think you're the strongest at

Is anyone brave eniough? 👀

Once upon a time, my wife and I had a pop culture podcast called "We Ruined Everything". There was this prevailing idea that Millennials were ruining culture, so we thought it'd be funny to just embrace it. I miss making them. Maybe we'll do one again. Maybe.

One of these days, I'll start paying more attention to what I've written before I hit here before I hit post. The combo of my keyboard not working like I expect because of numerous phone drops and an oddly trained autocorrect surprise me sometimes. One day, I'll do better.

Bad stuff in the world right now, but I want to talk about Stranger Things. Production wise, great stuff! There are great moments with actors acting their asses off. I think that's why I'm disappointed. The ingredients are there, but in the hands of showrunners who didn't know how to use it.

1000+ words into my cyberpunk short story, and it feels good! It's been in my head for years. Probably going to have to edit a big chunk of it, but that is for future Dave to do. Right now, I'm just getting the story written down first.

I think that Pluribus is gonna end up being an allegory for how we all deal with the end of the world. It just fits. An extinction level event happens, and how do we deal with it? How do we live with that knowledge, even as the world goes on in knowing ignorance. That's what I think it is, anyway.

I went walking around our local canyon lake today, trying to get back into nature, you know? Well, as close as you can while car and construction noises echo about, anyway. There this one place along my walk that reminds me of Simon Stålenhag's landscape art.

5 Years ago this month, I, along with a bunch of talented musicians, released "Paragons and Renegades: A BadAss Heroes Album"! 19 artists, 20 badass videogame music covers. Specifically, hero themes! One of my favorite projects ever, and one of my favorite covers, too!

While I didn't have any major release this year due to health and other problems, I didn't do too bad on wrapped! In addition, i got to score a shirt film and line up a few cool things next year. So, while this year wasn't what i hoped, next year, hopefully, will be cool as hell!

Seeing as how there's a new season if Stranger things out, I figured now was as good a time as any to post this piece. I drew this on July 2022 for display at a horror themed art show. I went with Vecna because I wanted to try out Todd McFarlanes' monster drawing technique!

So far, in my ttrpg journey, I've played 3 different games/ systems. DnD 5e, Call of Cthulhu, and Stillfleet. I've enjoyed all of them, and goddammit, I wish I could play more!

All these auroras in the South Plains, but I can't see em from my house. I'd drive a bit north, into the country a bit more, but my car is acting weird. Well, I just hope this doesn't herald an eldritch horror is being hatched. Fingers crossed.

DMs, GMs, and game designers! If you run spooky or horror themed ttrpgs, what is a setting that you have a hard time finding music for? What type of song or mood do you wish you had more of?

I could use a couple more music theme ideas to complete a project, maje it feel more complete.
