Surely Bovino and Border Patrol can now be sued for defamation? To the tune of, say, $200m ? That's the going rate isn't it?
I have been a reporter for close to 40 years, including stints covering police and the courts. This thing, from the president down, of accusing people of crimes when not charged: That did not used to be a thing. Authorities don’t do that because it is unfair and leads to cases being tossed.
