Got a couple of cats and a husband. Who is in charge? *It's the cats.
Has anyone considered that the shooting may have been a Russian message to drumpf that if he doesn't fall in line, the same might happen to him?

This Charlie Kirk shooting seems like a long way around for republicans to justify not having in-person town hall meetings.

I think that I shall start addressing republican politicians as Herr or Frau from now on, since they insist upon recreating 1930s Germany here.

💯%
Every horror since Sandy Hook is squarely on the shoulders of the GOP. They made a deal with the devil when they decided dozens of murdered children wouldn’t persuade them to support common sense gun control, and now every tragedy in this country is ENTIRELY their fault.

Maybe we should get Lucille involved....
That one person in the zombie movie who doesn't tell the rest of the group they got bitten.

Tit for tat...or yam-tit for tat.
Since Trump spent all day questioning Wes Moore’s military service, I assume we can now expect several very specific well researched questions for him about his Vietnam draft deferment from the WH press this week.

This.
World War II ended with Russian troops using tanks and rifles to negotiate their way into Berlin, a bullet negotiating its way into Hitler's skull, and an atomic bomb negotiating its way onto Hiroshima. But it did not end with Churchill and FDR negotiating to give Hitler big chunks of Poland.
JD Vance: "This is how wars ultimately get settled. If you go back to World War 2, if you go back to every major conflict in human history, they all end with some kind of negotiation."

Sounds like it's time for another revolution....
The last time troops policed America was in the 1770s.

We fought a revolution against that king, and wrote into the Constitution the Second, Third, Fourth, and Fifth Amendments to prevent it from ever happening again.

Pass it along…

Am I the only one who thinks that the Maxwell hubbub is the far right's first effort to normalize making it okay to marry 12-year old girls off to the highest bidder?
August 24, 2025 at 4:23 PM
This guy nails it about who these yahoos really are.
Nichols: Even though these guys come across as clowns, they're clowns with flamethrowers.. They have the machinery of government behind them. These are people that normally would be struggling to hold on to middle management jobs in a department store somewhere

This is probably the best descriptor I've ever read:

Tariffs — *meaning the rate importers must pay at the border for imported goods* — also take a long time to seep into the economy.

Inappropriately appropriate.

Hmm. Trump couldn't be bothered to actually put his left hand on the bible when he was sworn in, but sure can use that hand to stroke his daddy.
August 19, 2025 at 10:46 PM
And I, for one, am not shocked.
America has fallen.

Once again proving, if you're rich, you can commit a crime and get away with it. They just need to know how much it will cost to commit that crime.
This keeps happening.

Didn't Al Franken have to resign because of a photo?
What a low class low life.

I'm gonna start referring to the orange buffoon as "taco"* from now on.
*trump always chickens out

Quite literal example of "play stupid games, win stupid prizes".
House chamber burst into laughter when Marjorie Taylor Greene called for
"decorum."
May 20, 2025 at 11:42 AM
This.
Reminder: the Taylor Swift and Bruce Springsteen posts are just to distract from the Qatari "gift" or the fact that he's trying to rip Medicare and Medicaid from millions of Americans right now.

Far be it for any sitting member of the republican caucus of Congress to call this out. They are no better than he is.
May 16, 2025 at 11:56 PM
Why aren't impeachment articles being drawn as we speak?
Yup. That’s the one.
