Youngest daughter has had me in tears as she contacted and badgered Ipswich Town FC to ask for a message from them for me following an unfortunate diagnosis and two players took time to reply sending a message of support from the Team and Staff.

The page of text describing the Cald-Giest BEOWULF: AGE OF HEROES CALD-GIEST With great dread our elders' elders remember the rising of the sea salt marshes. Land that was once good for tilling and raising crops grew sour and the soil became a bitter brine-marsh where no seed would grow, but that rotted in the earth. Where harvest time was wreathed in snaking, stinking mists and instead of feasting and celebrating the turning of the seasons our folk starved, and come empty-bellied winter the salt marshes froze over. Thereafter we left that ancient home by sea, sailing to the verdant lands of the Anglecynn where now we dwell. But we remember. In that terrible time of hunger, a winter when the good land leaked away into salt swamps, our people were haunted by an unwelcome, long-shanked creature. While clearly a giant in form and figure, he claimed to any that met him to be the very sire of the Anglecynn: a king of ancient times, awoken by the salt tides to pass his judgement and to levy fines for the failures of our own ring givers, who had let our once verdant land fall into ruin. We know this to be a lie, for it is common knowledge that the sire of our people is Woden One-Eyed, wily and wise in the ways of war. Nonetheless, this giant of the frozen marshes bore a bitter spear of iron that could break any shield, and a strong seax sharp-hammered for rending ribs and unlatching limbs. It is told that he visited each and every Meadhall of the old time peoples, and extracted great fines and levies from them. And if they would not pay, he laid waste to their warbands and left the halls frozen. He was named then Cald-Giest, the Cold Guest, the giant of the winter marshes. His breath was frost, and his great cold hands struck stinging blows, dehinging doors and smashing open skulls alike. It was said that if his frozen bat-skinned hands struck the head of a man or woman, their brains would be forced from their ears. Text continues in next image. The text continues: It is also said that Cald-Giest walks those haunted marches still, striding through the rotten and ruined bitter brine-lands, his hoard of ancient fines well-guarded. And should ever the tides creep further inland, or ever he be called upon, he waits ready to extract further punishment from those leaders who fail their people. CALD-GIEST IN YOUR ADVENTURES This ancient giant can be used as both an NPC to be encountered and bargained with, or as the Monster at the heart of an adventure. As a Monster, he may have been called to bring justice to a beleaguered kingdom where the ring giver has failed their people. Anyone knowing of this old tale might seek to call him to punish a poor ruler. A Hero might then need to uncover what fine must be paid, and convince the ruler to pay it. Or perhaps even team up with the giant to rid the land of an ill-appointed ruler. Perhaps the giant has trekked across the sea bed over the centuries, following the escaping ships to Anglaland, and seeks to extract further fines. Could the fines be paid? Or the giant be beaten in a contest? Or proved to be false in his claims of ancestorship? Or perhaps false witness has been borne against the ruler, and the giant must be convinced that there is no fine to be paid? As an NPC, the legend of the giants hoard has also been told down the ages. Who knows what important treasures are held within it, buried or hidden somewhere in the ancient marshes that were once home to the Anglecynn. Such artefacts might prove the key to unlocking another mystery: Or perhaps the giant knows much about the lineage of ancient kings? And if helped in some way, he could share his ancient knowledge. Perhaps he tires of waiting in the salt marshes for endless years as would trade something of value for a noble death in combat? Cald Giest may keep a hall of his own, hidden deep under the marshes, and finding it could be a quest in itself.

(I say drivers but really mean "c's") It's not "pick a lane, any one" it's get the funk over out of the middle and far lanes or at least don't be a twat when someone points out to you that you need to get over as you're doing 40 in the outside or middle lane
