Today a D.C. jury found the man who threw a sandwich at a Customs and Border Patrol officer not guilty on a misdemeanor assault charge. @mollyroberts.bsky.social was in the courtroom for the trial and reports on the proceedings that led to the acquittal:

I think some people softened on dick cheney bc of his support for his daughter Mary & because Liz has seen trump for what he is this whole time. Also bc people forget the horrors of the Iraq war.

I think it’s more than worth pointing out that Appalachian Power customers in West Virginia and Virginia receive electricity from the same coal plants in WV. However, the Virginia customers’ bills are going down. Why? Renewables. wvpublic.org/story/energy...
