Thinking about how weirdly marketed ray tracing was. It's just a rendering technique that should have just popped up all of a sudden when hardware got good enough but instead they tried to market it to people who otherwise would not give a shit and now its got very overblown negative connotations.

The AAA Mario video is pretty funny and it's pretty obvious what type of game it's parodying, but it also cracks me up in that the title and subject itself really drives home that to a lot of people AAA is a vibes based definition.

Slightly different situation but I got tired of dealing with LG's smart tv software so I now have a minipc hooked up running debian so I can just youtube/twitch/whatever via browser. I can also play some lower spec games via steam on here, proton really is a game changer.
