So, basically, no health insurance for me next year. Unless I can figure something out or find a more affordable plan, it'll be too expensive. Dems shouldn't have done anything without a guarantee, not just a vote. Thanks, moderate Dems, for screwing a lot of us.
UPDATE: The Senate votes 53-47 to shoot down the Baldwin amendment to extend ACA funds for 1 year. A party-line vote with every Republican rejecting it.
An important vote in this series: Tammy Baldwin’s proposal to extend ACA expiring funds for 1 year. It’s structured as a motion to table (i.e. scrap it from the amendment tree). But it’ll show the appetite (or lack thereof) in the Senate to address this issue.

The shutdown is at 39 days but SNAP has only been cut for 8 and we're already seeing massive demand for food pantries, desperate pleas for direct help and assistance on related things like helping people keep pets. This is precarity at its highest. While the rich get richer.
