I sure hope people actually read the article this time, and simply didn't fall for incredible bait once again! Surely they wouldn't summarize a single paragraph that is free to read from a Japanese publication and then make a misleading headline! www.nikkei.com/article/DGXZ...
The Eurogamer article's headline is misleading he talks about story being one of the factors with another big one being crossplay this is all summarized from a single paragraph of an article written in Japanese.

Sadly don't think expectations were the problem here. They were expecting it to sell as fast as the first game in the series did. Origin sold over 3 million copies in under 4 months. Everyone seem to be taking that number as lifetime sales which it isn't. www.ea.com/news/bioware...

There's some pretty important info that's being left out of this article that's covered in the IGN article. To me that additional information makes it seem like this is a move to make stockholders excited more than do anything meaningful.

The simplified version without copying pasting the article is that this is being used to write proposals and not actually create any assets to directly quote the article "Capcom’s experimentation with AI models appears to be limited to just this system, leaving other aspects of game development, such as ideation, gameplay, programming, and character design firmly in the hands of humans." The article directly mentioned that hundreds of these ideas end up in the trash which is likely what is going to happen to any of these AI generated proposals.
