Oncology surgeon did my thyroid biopsy today, results back by mid next week but when I asked how he thought it would go based on the samples taken and scan he said cancer

Had the frank talk from Dr they believe it’s 75% more likelihood there’s malignancy and I guess it’s wait and wait some more but can they not just throw some Valium or something my way :/

For the last 5 years or so at least I’ve had a male doctor refer me to tons of specialist, ignore my actual complaints, tell me that I’m eating too much then when I go back to him as I’m dropping 5-10 lbs a month while actually feeling famished daily for over a year to put in my medical records

Almost another year closer to a decade on this planet, here’s to hoping to have my thyroid biopsy complete and know whatever is going on isn’t cancer.

My neighbor two doors down is a cool older lady that is funny and really kind, she was told two days before Xmas she has lung cancer, they’ve waited weeks for a scan and it’s super depressing. I take her a morning smoothie & try to cook her dinner when possible. Fuck cancer

Augusta Ga home to Ft Eisenhower was just pummeled by a hurricane lots of other bases affected too. The local economy take a massive hits during shutdowns, govt contractors aren’t guaranteed back pay like DOD employees. Majority of these positions are filled by veterans
