Ahmad Mulakhil, found guilty of abducting and raping a schoolgirl, is an asylum seeker who arrived via a small boat four months before the attack.
At the time, the police wouldn’t comment on his immigration status, due to HO guidelines, which were then changed. More on #c4news

BREAKING: Ahmad Mulakhil has been found guilty of abducting and raping a 12-year-old girl in Nuneaton.

The 23-year-old Afghan asylum seeker previously admitted one count of rape and was found guilty of another count of rape, during the attack last year.

The university says it is supporting students and staff who witnessed what happened - without confirming the nature of the incident.

BREAKING: The first 27 asylum seekers have been moved into Crowborough military site in Sussex. Home Office plans to move 540 people there and says “they will only be housed there for up to three months whilst their claim is processed.” Current claims are taking longer than three months.

We now get Home Office press releases about immigration nearly every day. Interesting to note the language. They obviously want to be seen to be taking action, but “illegal migrants” are not the same as “asylum seekers”

In the Commons earlier, the Tories' James Cartlidge repeatedly asked David Lammy whether any other asylum seeker offenders has been released from prison.
Now it’s revealed a foreign prisoner is on the run after being mistakenly released HMP Wandsworth. news.sky.com/story/manhun...

Four children, including a baby, were rescued from the top floor of the building, after an arson attack on asylum accommodation in Drogheda, Ireland.
Justice Minister confirms arson attack on IPAS building in Drogheda last night.

"Fireworks were thrown into the building, causing a fire and putting lives at risk. This was a terrifying ordeal for the women and children living there, a number of whom were taken to hospital."
