Wonder how ICE be finding some ppl? Lexisnexis which Relx owns along with Reed Pop. They also got it on a lot of the conventions. Look at this and rethink NYCC, Book Con and C2E2 if Reed Pop renews their ICE contract. Plus read some of the comments. 😬
As a comics fan, I don’t want to support companies that support the supervillains of the world. Let’s get this contract ended. #comics #dccomics #starwars #marvel

Soul Patrol is a journey to a hidden part of history and while the re-enactments detract from its gravitas, the documentary is impactful in its focus on the turmoil of the first Black Special Ops team in the Vietnam War. #Sundance

Next review out of Sundance is The Incomer and I am so glad I watched this after that doc because I needed a laugh and this is so funny. It’s quirky and feels like a hug to storytellers’ imaginations.

Minnesotans following and documenting ICE activity here have been detained, pulled out of their cars, hit with chemicals, had agents route them to their homes and take photos. Even after the killings of two observers, they aren't stopping. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026...

I’m happy for the family but still so fucking mad. Until more officers are held accountable that anger will always be there.

If you're a journalist listening to Homan BLOVIATE about law and order right now and your immediate question isn't *what gives YOU the authority to speak about crimes and "law and order" when you accepted a $50,000 bribe and keep avoiding any accountability?* then you are ridiculous.

Jane Elliot Against the World is worth a look if you want to know about her but it doesn’t critique the harm of white activism or acknowledge how it does not move the needle bc it’s par for the course in a country where all spaces are considered white spaces.
Jane Elliot Against the World Is Eye-Opening About the Woman But Nothing New [Sundance]
Jane Elliot Against the World is standard fare. It does not challenge how white activism rarely admits or attempts to rectify its own culpability.

I reviewed On Sunday, She Picked Flowers and overall I loved it. It gets lost in its descriptions but it a story that’s brutal and beautiful, centering Black women and LGBTQ+ romance. I recommend it!

On Sunday, She Picked Flowers Is a Rich Look at Growth
On Sunday, She Picked Flowers is as lush as it is brutal, centering Black women especially in a story about generational trauma and the fight to end the cycle.

I enjoyed Send Help a lot but there are issues with how they use non-white authors to propel white stories. They feel like cannon fodder for a diversity checkmark. And why did they do Dennis Haysbert like that?

stakes are extremely high, literally life or death.

We do NOT need ICE or CBP to have more training or oversight

We do need all border, policing and military angencies to be defunded; end to fed & state partnerships (like sec 287g agreements); end to all detentions & deporations. Abolish borders.
