Genuinely curious why the headline doesn’t explicitly use the phrase “US Citizen shot by ICE agent..” when that’s literally what happened

The Aussies women cricket team is built different.

Like dam that top 4 of Healy, Lithcfield, Perry and Mooney.

I’m honestly not sure who I’m rooting for this semi final. From India’s pov, I’m hoping for another Mandhana 💯

I cannot think of a power couple similar to Mitch Starc and Alyssa Healy in any other sport.

Healy in particular is in beast mode this WC and I absolutely love it.

Frankly, I think they still can pivot messaging a little and call out the destruction to the constitutional order.

This will be a bit of an unpopular opinion, but I don’t think this fight over the ACA subsidies is what the Dems should have chosen for the shutdown messaging.

The subsidies don’t expire for three months. There would have been time for lawmakers to broker a broader deal that includes ACA subsidies

POP QUIZ: which party controls all three branches of government?
Are Democrats or Republicans to blame for the looming government shutdown? Here’s what our poll found
The U.S. federal government is on the verge of its first shutdown in more than six years after last-minute negotiations on a spending bill failed.

If and when Dems ever retake the White House, they need to remember all of these attempts by the Trump admin at ‘soft regulation’ — essentially terrorizing companies you don’t like by filing lawsuits against them as a way of getting them to change policies

‘Weaponization of DOJ’
YouTube to pay $24.5 million to settle Trump lawsuit | CNN Business
YouTube agreed to pay $24.5 million to settle a lawsuit filed by President Donald Trump after he was suspended by social media platforms following the January 6, 2021, insurrection.

The dismantling of a livable planet Earth by this an administration continues..

“Other terms officials must ditch include “energy transition,” “sustainability/sustainable,” “‘clean’ or ‘dirty’ energy,” “Carbon/CO2 ‘Footprint’” and “Tax breaks/tax credits/subsidies.””
Energy Dept. adds ‘climate change’ and ‘emissions’ to banned words list
It is the latest in a series of Trump administration efforts to dispute, silence or downplay climate change.

Damn, I did not find out about the Michigan church shooting until much later in the day. I suppose I should be thankful that I’m not inundated with horrific breaking news constantly?
Kinda wild seeing how much additional media attention the shooting at the ICE facility in Texas gets compared to the literal headquarters of the CDC. I didn’t even know the CDC shooting had happened until a day later.

Really shows this country values cops a lot more than health.

Honestly hilarious that the govt is trying to blame Democrats for shutdown when

A) republicans control all branches of government
B) House Republicans literally went on recess THE WEEK LEADING UP TO THE SHUTDOWN so they didn’t have to negotiate

Make it make sense
Trump's shutdown blame game: Why he says Democrats are at fault
President Donald Trump is blaming Democrats for a potential government shutdown. He says they're “crazed” and want to “shut it down.”

I see chatter from India asking why the Indian-American bloc isn't speaking out more vehemently against the recent (seemingly insane) H1B announcements from the Trump administration.

I think the answer is likely rooted in some form of shame.

Watching the Ezra Klein-Ben Shapiro interview made me profoundly uncomfortable, and I am having a very hard time understanding the point of trying to find ‘common ground’ with people like him that are constantly revising historical narratives of how we got to this divisive moment in our politics.

Gosh Ezra is facing a lot of backlash, and I do not think all of that is justified at all!
Disappointed in Ezra Klien's most recent opinion piece. To say he was 'practicing politics the right way' is to pretend his brand of politics was more about dialogue and less about provocation.

As so many have said, you don't have to sanitize his work to condemn his murder or denounce the violence.
