After Susan Monarez's firing, the current acting CDC director is Jim O' Neil. Jim is an investor, a Silicon Valley tech bro, a Thiel associate, and (per past comments) has demonstrated that he knows absolutely nothing about modern computational modeling and how it contributes to overall R&D.

DC is such a vibrant city with an incredibly diverse population. Yes, it has its problems, but imagine the audacity of the governor of Mississippi sending national guard forces to DC when (checks notes), Gov Reeves should probably clean up his own act first.

Here’s the thing - the time will come when conservatives who come out of MAGA’s cultish haze request that liberals look past the choices they made in the past few elections, because it’s important we band together to save democracy, save public health, save public news media, and public services.

Our elderly cat, Carly, passed away today. My therapist asked me to name one thing I’d miss most about her, and my first thought was that of her chirps of surprise when she realizes we’re around when she’s just woken up.

The schedule for the ICC Champions Trophy (a slightly pointless tournament in my opinion) is finally out. TBH I hate everything about how this went down.

Do people actually like this Apple intelligence feature that summarizes your notifications? I have not found it particularly useful and if I’m being honest I have only mostly seen memes about it on social media.
