My heart goes out to the people of Tumbler Ridge and everyone affected by the devastating tragedy in their community. We are mourning lives lost, standing with those who were injured, and holding close the families whose worlds have been changed forever.

Great to tour the Glenbow Museum project and see the transformation underway. Incredible progress on a space that will celebrate art, history, and culture in the heart of our city. This investment in Calgary’s creative future is really taking shape. Can’t wait to see it open its doors.

NEW: Operations at City of Calgary aquatic centres and ice rinks will return to normal. CEMA chief Henry says steam rooms will reopen this morning, and hot tubs/kiddie pools are being filled and will be open tomorrow. Shouldice Aquatic Centre will open Monday.

In addition to our frontline crews working 24/7 to fix the pipe, I want to thank the City of Calgary comms team. They’ve been on site producing near real-time photos, videos, and clear updates so Calgarians know what’s happening and why. I couldn’t provide these updates without them.
