Anyone else remember the E3 where a Sony dude who worked on MLB The Show was handing out random Vita games right out of his backpack like it was a drug deal? No, just me?
"Don't let anyone catch you with this," is a real thing someone told me when they slid a physical copy of the retail release of Duke Nukem Forever into my bag on the literal fucking show floor of E3. I had to calmly walk it out to my hotel room. It was the most cyberpunk shit and felt amazing.

I can understand asking for nuance in these discussions, but deliberately muddying the water by bringing up automation tools that people understand are not generative AI and asking for a middle ground is disingenuous. The nuanced position is that people are roundly rejecting the tech, respect that.
