My bag is delayed from my recent travel. Yesterday, the tracking system from the courier promised delivery "tomorrow before 2am." Now it says "Today before 2am". It also says that deliveries scheduled after 11pm will be delivered the next morning. This is like a Lewis Carroll understanding of time.

It's funny how every language learning course and tool imagines situations where you have a basic conversation with a native speaker and they're like "Wow, you speak our language so well!" instead of the more realistic situation where they roll their eyes and switch to perfect English.

A bit delayed, but wanted to let y'all know that I'm back in Sarajevo for a few months. I feel strange leaving Chicago at such a time as this, but I am grateful to be in this city that I'm coming to love, too. To my colleagues in Europe: Zoom calls will be blessedly easier for a while!
