Pre-season is underway. #SportingKC returns 60% of its minutes in 2025, and still has plenty more players to add.

Here's how the core of returning players are adapting to Wicky's vision:

Since the NWSL hasn't posted on this site...the new ball is basically an asterisk on a soccer ball.

Good to see Ally Sentnor back to bagging goals. The Current will need her to find the net this season. 2 now in this USWNT friendly.

The whole segment on Mason Greenwood… Gross.

#SportingKC coaching staff under Raphael Wicky for 2025-26.

Assistants:
Edu Rubio
Dominic Kinnear
Roger Espinoza
Ash Wallace

GK Coach: Darrin MacLeod

Some familiarity both internally and externally. MacLeod gets a promotion and Espinoza and Wallace stay. Kinnear well known.

John Pulskamp speaking with media right now discussing a renewed attention to detail for #SportingKC. "We've been focusing on not just the bigger goals [of how to play], but actually the details of the roadmap on how to achieve that."

Coming back to this...the KC Current is playing against the Seattle Reign in Spokane. So much for a quick drive down I-5 for the Portland match a few days later.

True. My point, though, is that this team's overall athleticism has been very low since 2020/2021.
Given how many players we need, feels like "much needed" will go for almost all our signings. 😀

Very few double home game days and very few direct time conflicts as well between #KCBaby and #SportingKC this year. I like it.

THE NWSL SCHEDULE IS HERE! AND BEFORE JANUARY 20TH!

BREAKING: #SportingKC has signed former #Rapids96 winger Calvin Harris to a 1.5 year deal, with a club option for the 27/28 season.

Harris, 25, had a career year with the Rapids in '25, with 5 goals and 5 assists in all competitions in 2025. His pace is much needed for SKC.

Here's the #KCBaby pre-season roster. Lot's of NRI's.

Notable that Cooper and Chawinga start the season on SEI, though they can come off it before the season starts, provided they are healthy.

Regardless, midfield and front line seem rather thin at the moment.
