Remember when Kamala said she would try to bring prices down by going after corporate price gouging and everyone was like NO PRICE CONTROLS U MARXIST!! And now the guy they picked has frozen the supply chain, devalued the USD, defunded govt, may destroy the bond market and is cancelling Christmas

Donating to @pbs.org today. Company matches all donations, so even though it's about what I'd spend on a sit-down restaurant's lunch special, it is more than $0.

Musk+Drumpf are cutting funding for public reporting and education. You can make a small difference by compensating. #pbs #FundEducation

172,000 people in CA-15 depend on Medicaid. In California, it covers nearly half of all adults with disabilities and more than 40% of children.

This Medicaid Matters Day of Action, @housedemocrats.bsky.social are fighting to protect this vital lifeline from Republican attacks.

I am begging people to understand that the "solution" here - increasingly fragile tech stacks - introduces massive resiliency challenges.

We should be discussing single points of failure more than we do. And this stuff will get worse unless we start rejecting these ideas.

Whitmer: I will do a Trump economic program but female and Democrat

🤡
This is the Dem's vision for confronting Trumpist fascism *in their own* [press release] words:

Whitmer “will outline her bipartisan approach to bring supply chains home from China, create more good-paying jobs, and invest in our defense industry.”

Remember several things are true at once:

1) showing up to stuff is important

2) you're not done with your resistance points for the year because you went to one rally once

3) there are a lot of ways to fight back and we need all of them all the time now all at once

If this chart shocks you, then you really haven't been paying attention for the past decade
These three charts are devastating.

We knew LA Times, WSJ, Wash Post, NY Post, Fox News, Meta, & Twitter are owned by pro Trump billionaires. Sadly, right wingers dominate social media too, transforming the USA into a right wing regime mimicking Russia & China.

Already seeing (white) people complaining that the boycott is hurting working people and we should reconsider rather than complaining that corporate is 100% not cutting their own fucking salaries.

The boycott will continue until morale improves.
My wife (a Target HR director) says they are feeling the boycott
She said corporate is directing them to start cutting payroll (i.e. less hours for hourly workers/no overtime).
Please keep boycotting Target if you can!

Researching concentration camps, I often saw governments justify atrocities and genocide against a violent opposition by saying "they would do worse to us if they could," without acknowledging that these opponents lacked any real capacity to rival the level of state violence that had been unleashed.
The Senate Democratic leader says it can’t be genocide if you were “provoked.”

That is just a stunning thing to believe let alone say on the record.

My new little book is about two sisters who hunt down killers and collect body parts while complicating their lives with volatile magics, bizarre visions, and a mysterious mouth in the wall.

Think Junji Ito meets Little Women.
