Remember, JunoCam was simply a public relations device. It was NOT placed in an area of the spacecraft that was very well shielded from radiation exposure, meant to last only perhaps eight close passes. Yet it's lasted all this time. Incredible!

Saturn's tiny icy moon Mimas hangs in space against a backdrop of the giant planet itself.

The rings cross the bottom of the view, and cast their shadows onto the planet beyond.

This isn’t a scene of holiday lights gone awry—it’s cold dust in two galaxies! #NASAWebb’s mid-infrared observations uniquely capture the dust in exquisite detail. See how the pair looks when visible and UV light are added from Hubble: https://bit.ly/4oxgK0u

This cosmic butterfly is IRAS 23077+6707, the largest planet-forming disc seen around a young star yet!

Hubble has revealed it to be an unusually chaotic specimen, with wisps of material flying far beyond the disc 👉 https://esahubble.org/images/opo2606/

No new JunoCam images have appeared since July but there are many older, spectacular images I still haven't processed. I processed this one recently. This is from the PJ14_21 raw image data obtained on July 16, 2018. Approx true color/contrast and enhanced versions. North is to the upper left.

My old collection of >100 high resolution images taken by Pleiades satellites between 2013 and 2021.

My processing skills weren't very good and Bsky can't show full res, but here they are.

I'm planning to add more from time to time.

I'd just recollimated the scope and cleaned the corrector plate, which I think helps, but the dew was awful!

This is probably my best Jupiter image to date.
More data still to go through
