The beautiful Comet LEMMON's tail

The comet is going out with a bang. The tail was as bright as ever last night. Captured with Celestron RASA telescope, ZWO ASI533MC color camera, and an Antlia L-Filter.

Comet A6 lemmon

Captured with 16 inch Boller & Chivens🔭, f18, 7400mm focal length. The fov is only 6 arc mins, so really close into head of comet. Oct 29th, 10pm PST. 30s X 10 images. Such a dynamic and photogenic comet.

This is cool, 6 million year old ice from Antartica with inferred temperature ~12°C warmer than the late Pleistocene. No CO2 level yet! (That will be highly anticipated!)

Astronomers have detected a dark blob of...something, billions of light years away. It's as massive as a million Suns & it emits no detectable radiation.

It might be a clump of dark matter, revealing new details about the structure of the invisible universe. 🧪🔭
