Just a quick painting of Máni. A trans-Neptunian object.
Recent occultation observations hint that Máni might have a massive impact crater and a very tall mountain that I interpreted as a central peak in this impact crater. #SciArt #spaceart #astronomy #solarsystem

Two Jovian moons Io and Europa eclipses the sun darkening Jupiter's sky. Volcanic plumes and sulfur halo can be seen around Io and water ice jets are erupting from Europa's crust. Also Jupiter's rings, solar corona and zodiacal light also glows in this darkened sky #SciArt #spaceart #Jupiter

I've read about ZTF SLRN-2020 event where a star basically ate it's own planet. So I decided to try and depict this from a planet's perspective. It's atmosphere evaporating and getting ripped away by the star. #SciArt #spaceart #astronomy

Each year near the start of Mars' southern winter warm air rises over Arsia Mons volcano forming ice and dust clouds. Sometimes this dust coalesces into a spiraling cloud that can be over 15 km high. This digital painting depicts one such dust spirals.#Sciart #space #astronomy #SolarSystem #Mars

Sedna, frozen and lonely world drowned in darkness. It's red, ancient surface receives only a tiny amount of Sun's light.

My old painting of a brown dwarf.
This view represents a moon of a brown dwarf being lit up by the sun-like star, which is second component of this star-brown dwarf system.

Saturn as seen from Titan's polar regions. During winter season in south hemisphere a big, high altitude cloud hangs above south pole.

J1407b also known as a Super-Saturn. Possibly a brown dwarf with a massive ring system with planets forming in it. Now, latest updates on this object suggest that it is not tied to any star and most likely is not illuminated like this. But who knows, maybe somewhere there is a system like this.

My interpretation of Vesta's south pole impact that formed Rheasilvia crater. Before impact older Veneneia crater can be seen.

My interpretation of a Hot Jupiter planet. I looked up some info on Hot Jupiter atmospheric dynamics and this is my best guess what this type of a planet might look like.

Jupiter's powerful lightning storms most likely generate lots of transient luminous events.
In this scene, during the early morning hour, as the rising sun lights up the top of a massive thunderstorm a lightning strike generates a gigantic jet, shooting high up in the atmosphere.

I did a little bit more research on Jupiter's transient luminous events. This is my attempt to portray one of these events. So, here it is, Jupiter sprites.

#Jupiter's closest moon Metis emerges from the planet's shadow. Rings as well as two Jovian moons can be seen. Io with it's volcanic plumes, sulfur halo and aurora. Europa with hypothesized water ice geysers erupting from it's polar region. Bright blue star in the background is Earth.

I am fascinated by a theory of tiny primordial black holes hitting solar system planets and moons, going through them as if they are barely there. This is my interpretation of such black hole piercing through our moon and emerging on the other side, leaving a small, unusual crater. #space #astronomy
