Increase in productivity since 1979: 87%

Increase in hourly pay since 1979: 32%

Just so happens that ~25% of workers were unionized in 1979. Today? 10%.

As unions declined, the super-rich have taken a larger share of wealth generated by labor. We must build back union power.

A tax of 2% on wealth over £10 million would raise £24 billion every year 🤯

This could be used to fund our public services properly - from schools to hospitals.

While Reeves says we must all “do our bit”, Plaid Cymru believes it’s time for those with the broadest shoulders to pay their fair share.

I emailed Nadia Sass the wife of the man who was charged alongside the former leader of Reform Wales, Nathan Gill, & she sent me a long reply..all about Nigel Farage.

The weird thing is that I didn’t ask her anything about Nigel Farage.

Welsh voters have rejected Labour and Starmerite managerialism. By offering hope and not division we showed the populist right can be beaten, says Rhun ap Iorwerth, leader of Plaid Cymru

Nazi-loving Daily Mail [that’s a factual statement BTW*] don’t like Ireland’s new president. Her repeating the words of the International Court of Justice & the UN Commission seem to have upset them. In the old days the Mail was the most anti-Semitic & fascist English newspaper! So little changes!

What service he has given us.
Not only as President but as our first Minister for the Arts. This photo I took on Inis Oirr in 2021 is one of my most treasured. Go raibh maith aige. #Aras25

Plaid have won a massive victory in the Caerphilly by-election beating Reform comfortably.

The Labour vote has totally collapsed.

It seems that in Caerphilly more people feared those who oppose immigration than the immigrants themselves.

Reform have thrown everything at this by-election in Caerphilly.

Nigel Farage has been up multiple times including today. You can see that Reform were expecting a big party this evening.

This is a huge blow to them if they have lost.

Reform’s approach to next May’s Senedd election is deeply cynical. Its cheap sloganising falls a million miles short of any kind of programme for government. It is insulting Wales and its people ✍️Martin Shipton
Reform surge reflects the failure of social democracy to deliver material improvements

Great to be out canvassing today in Bargoed and hearing so much support for Lindsay Whittle.

The #Caerphilly byelection is a straight choice between a true Plaid Cymru community champion, and a party who wants to see our community divided.

Reform’s former Welsh leader, Nathan Gill, has pleaded guilty to accepting bribes from Russia.

The people of Wales deserve full transparency about foreign interference in politics.

Those interviewed by counter-terrorism police in connection with the case should be publicly named.
