Dinner with a friend tonight who I haven't seen in years.

While I do resent having to come to campus, I do like periodically seeing my boss in person and sitting in her office and chatting. I am so lucky that I like my boss as a human being (and she's a pretty good boss too).

Angelica kitchen. Vegan restaurant in the East village, the first farm to table restaurant I ever went to. They made this gravy that I literally dream about, a Caesar salad with nori, and a tempeh Reuben I've never quite been able to replicate even with the cookbook.

Cursed myself. 9 days of 12 or so, I have written a minimum of 5,000 words, usually closer to six or seven. Nothing I would want to share, but I'm so pleased with it.
One day I would really like to be the kind of person who can just write 500 words a day, or week, instead of having to sit down and bang out 15,000 words in 5 hours twice a year.
I'm not complaining, it's a really good 15,000 words, it's just. Exhausting. I had other stuff to do today!!

Cursed myself. 9 days of 12 or so, I have written a minimum of 5,000 words, usually closer to six or seven. Nothing I would want to share, but I'm so pleased with it.
You can tell when people aren't used to eating truly spicy food because they write their characters cooling the burn with water😂 every time I see that in fics I think to myself, you would never survive in Yunmeng... You do not eat the full packet of buldak sauce...

The five year old just told me tonight is the first night of Hanukkah and is now hiding under a blanket with a battery powered menorah, and the 12 yr old told me, "none of the Roblox programming is crappy" & is trying to convince me to try to play some game (no).
