I have a story in here. AI Cathedral.
Because AI is a false god that only leads to destruction. Unless something more ancient gets it first.

So grateful to @dancoxon.bsky.social and @pfracassi.bsky.social @titanbooks.bsky.social
We're thrilled to reveal the cover of UNEARTHED, a horror anthology from award-winning authors and editors @dancoxon.bsky.social and @pfracassi.bsky.social which digs beneath the crumbling structures of historical ruins to reveal their archaic pasts, and their darkest secrets.

Out September 15! 💀

UNEARTHED has been a long-term project of mine: co-edited with Philip Fracassi, it collects together nineteen brand-new tales of ancient ruins and archeological horror. Unearthed will be published by Titan Books on 15 September. Hold onto your fedoras, and keep an eye out for more info!

Now reading - Unquiet Guests (2025), a collection of haunted house short stories edited by @dancoxon.bsky.social and published by @deadinkbooks.bsky.social

Really enjoyable so far, with a good level of modest experimentation with form and genre. Was surprised to see Palahniuk going Weird! #booksky

#1 Hot New Release in Amazon's Cosmic & Eldritch Horror category too, ahead of new books by India-Rose Bower and Ronald Malfi. I'm honestly thrilled and confused. Clearly I sacrificed to the right gods.

I was thrilled to see that five of my stories appear on Ellen Datlow's Recommended Reading list this year, all of them from my collection Come Sing For The Harrowing ('In Flickering Light' is reprinted in Best Horror of the Year, where 'Beyond the Beach, the Trees' also gets an Honorable Mention).

I feel kind of guilty saying it since the world has been such a bin fire, but 2025 has been good to me. A World Fantasy Award, haunted houses, magic, Neutral Milk Hotel, alcoholism in Wake in Fright, folk-horror and Best Horror of the Year. Bring on 2026.
