Our rule of law, judged during the context of a highly volatile time where riots had already taken place, for someone to incite violence by encouraging ppl to burn down hotels while human beings were inside overstepped the mark & warranted a custodial sentence. The Telegraph and The Sun are reporting that Lucie Connelly is a political prisoner of Keir Starmer

WTF has happened to our media??

Starmer has absolutely nothing to do with the sentences passed down by our judicial system.

As we've seen across history, the populist playbook used by Farage is ugly, powerful and incredibly destructive.

We know where it will lead if we don't stop it.

The government’s abject surrender in the immigration conversation will not necessarily lose them votes. But it won’t win any either because a) for good
or for ill, the small boats are the really emotive issue & b) people who simply resent immigrants will always favour Farage. He’s one of their own.

Right now I'm utterly shocked at Labour's choice to appease populists and racists instead of standing up to them and making the case for immigration, something Starmer himself did just a few years ago!

By appeasing the far right, Labour will lose those of us in the center!

"I can't believe Labour are making it more difficult for the social care sector to hire people. We have 131,000 vacancies"

It’s sickening that Trump wants Greenland. Trump behaves like a fascist and he must be stopped by the Americans themselves.

I can't stand it that Labour are going down the road trying to out-reform Reform. Labour should attack Reform on their weakest front.

Brexit

Brexit hasn't worked.
Brexit is costing the taxpayer billions and Starmer not got the balls to mention it!

Labour must take responsibility for a battering caused by legitimising far right Reform rhetoric and culture war bullshit.

They have the majority to stop it, they need to find their balls, fast. If they carry on they’re not just bending themselves over the barrel, but all of us.

Give it a year or two for hundreds of Reform 'councillors' to be exposed as incompetent, lazy, racist crooks and wife-beaters...
...then let's inspect the "seismic shift" in politics.

All we've seen so far is a hastily-recruited bunch of chancers with no track record of public service at any level
SKY NEWS: Reform party shakes the political landscape as Labour and Conservatives plummet to historic lows in latest voting estimates, signalling a seismic shift in British politics.
Sky News analysis: Reform surge in estimated national vote with Labour and Tories at all-time low
The current national share estimate puts Reform on 32% - with Labour down to 19% and the Conservatives on 18%.

Tice is so embarrassingly thick. A genuinely stupid but überprivileged man using his wealth and power to make life worse for the people he claims to represent. Shoving them all into a backward, impoverished dead end, seething with resentment, while he swans off to Dubai.

I heard her on @lewisgoodall.com radio show on @lbc.co.uk yesterday saying she'd be happy to see tents with children living in them, while they wait for their asylum applications to be processed. Abhorrent misguided pathetically callous woman!

Exactly! Makes you wonder how Farage manages to disassociate himself from all the damaging things he's backed/supported.
1) Brexit
2) B Johnson's brexit deal which has a clause making it impossible to send back asylum seekers who fail with their applications
3) Liz Truss disastrous budget!
Hey British media,
It’s no surprise that if you give Farage the run of the place, he’ll start winning.
Time to do your actual jobs and start interrogating him on his Brexit shitshow, his funding, his Trumpiness, his idiotic manifesto, his real plans for the NHS… instead of drumrolling him into No.10

Immigration is not the problem it’s now widely believed to be.
Brexit is much more of a problem than it’s reported to be.
So how can govt achieve growth, fix public svcs and deal with the cost of living if fear of Reform means it won’t be honest with us about these 2 elephants in the room?
It can’t.
