As Trump sends our National Guard and Marines to stand in the streets of American cities, understand that this is what fascism looks like. As ICE and police officers respond to unarmed, nonviolent protesters in full riot gear with tear gas, batons, and rubber bullets, understand that this is what fascism feels like. As Trump and his social media mouthpieces try to blame this escalation on anyone but themselves, understand that this is what fascism sounds like. When ICE raids your community and kidnaps your neighbors, understand that this is what fascists do. What is happening in LA is not a distraction. It's a test run for the rest of the country. It's a threat to all Americans that our rights are on the line. We call on all who will stand against this tyranny to stand with us.
