Our old two hob cooker at the cabin has the most baffling number range for the heat. 1200 seems like A LOT

2025 has been a life-changing year. It started with the birth of our daughter right at the very end of 2024 (she turned 1 yesterday). In summer, we moved from the small village of Dokka that had been home for 5 years to Kongsberg.

Has there been a revised OBEV since the 1999 Ricks??? It's about time!
One interesting use of anthologies like The Oxford Book of English Verse is as a barometer of changing reputations. In the revised 1939 edition John Clare is afforded but a single poem, “Written in Northampton County Asylum.” Maybe it’s just the circles I run in, but he’d surely get more now?

As a man from the land of the large bottle, I feel able to say that this lovely light Christmas beer (Sunturn) is in fact a *very* large bottle, so we're sharing. Happy midwinter!

Sorry, but I find it very hard to make this headline make sense. Is it just me?

Happy Christmas! Or as the case may be, Happy Hannukah!

The people who want to make AI a part of every aspect of our lives, will never ever want us to have more leisure or time to think. Life only on their terms, not our own:

Det er en hel uke til jul men allerede er toget redusert fra to till ett togsett. Hvorfor? Folk står i gangen fortsatt. Hva er vitsen med det altså, Vy?

Any way, I am more concerned not about the motivations of what happened the other eveninfz but about the fact that these people are dead for no good reason.

We all know review culture has gone mental but when an authentication code app is asking me to rate my experience, I really do despair. What do they want? 5 stars for generating random sequences of numbers? Feedback? "Could be more Kabbalistic"

Well, can't wait to bring my child through security later to celebrate Chanuka because that's completely normal for a reason.

The worst thing about moving to a new town is always finding a barber. I feel like they make a big production of it here sometimes so I'm delighted I've found a fella who'll give you a good cut in about 15 minutes and not charge an arm and a leg!

The alarming way in which people are making plans for Q1 and using that term unironically. What's wrong with "in the New Year"?
