Huge victory for Zohran Mamdani in the Oval Office. He stuck to his guns, spoke about affordability, proudly declared himself a Democratic Socialist, condemned genocide in Gaza, did not back down from calling Trump a “fascist,” and still got Trump to praise him, undermining months of GOP attacks.

The weird thing is with Donald Trump just said about Zohran Mandani is what every Democrat should’ve said about Zohran Mamdani the moment he secured the Democratic nomination.

Q: “Are you affirming you think Trump is a fascist?”

TRUMP: “That’s ok, you can just say yes.”

ZOHRAN: “Ok. Yes.”

Today’s case is different than the deployments in California, Oregon and Illinois, because Trump controls the DC National Guard

However, the judge noted that “Congress has given the District rights to govern itself. Those rights are infringed upon” once Trump unlawfully deployed National Guard

Don’t give in, don’t give up

The insurrectionists who sacked the capitol and attempted to murder members of Congress to overturn a free election are trying to define "sedition" as something other than what they did. The absolute nerve of these people.

I really hate it when scientists keep saying that “we need to rebuild trust in science,” because it implies that scientists are to blame for the mistrust rather than the millions of dollars of dark money that have funded political attacks on science in order to advance a far right agenda.

I mean, look, I'm not a reporter, so who am I to talk?

But on a day where the president both just called a woman reporter "Piggy" and is celebrating someone who had people bone saw apart one of my colleagues, I might just be a little ready to defend my colleagues and profession.

But that's just me

An FBI agent-in-training filed a lawsuit after he was handed a letter signed by the bureau’s director, Kash Patel, saying that he was being “summarily dismissed” because of “political signage.” The only thing that could be, he quickly realized, was a rainbow pride flag that had hung near his desk.
F.B.I. Trainee Sues After Being Abruptly Fired Over Display of Gay Pride Flag
He described his dismissal as the latest move by senior F.B.I. officials to play politics, damaging morale and hindering the bureau’s ability to carry out its public safety mission.

The US President is unredeemable and it was an act of sadistic violence to elect him to represent America. Unforgivable and heartbreaking.
Jamal Khashoggi was a US resident, a journalist & critic of the extremist policies of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. To silence him, bin Salman organized his murder & dismembering with a bone saw.

The lavish welcome of this murderer to our WH is disgusting

He is a psychopath. He is an absolute psychopath.
Trump suggests Khashoggi had it coming: "You're mentioning someone that was extremely controversial. A lot of people didn't like that gentleman that you're talking about. Whether you like him or didn't like him, things happen. But he knew nothing about it. You don't have to embarrass our guest."

We should all keep "Things happen" in our back pockets now that the President of the United States has shown us what it should be used for. There will be occasions.

The man who tells a female journalist, "Quiet, piggy" is the man who rapes women and molests girls trafficked by Epstein. The same man who calls the desecration of the US capital a "day of love" & Nazis "very fine people." He is the twice-impeached criminal felon leading the US.

God help us all.

Anyone with half a brain knows that T**** would rather start World War 3 than release the actual Epstein files and be outed as a pedophile, as, for some reason, that fact would upset his base and erode his cult of psychopathy.
So--yeah--we are not getting the Epstein files.

Tolstoy had a play called THE POWER OF DARKNESS. Such a good title.
That moment followed by his calling a reporter "insubordinate" while shrugging off the murder of a journalist would have ended other presidencies. "Piggy" enraged me less than the silence that followed--the indifference, the cowardice, the collective shrug is what enables the eradication of decency.
I don't know why the "Piggy" thing is bothering me so much. It's one more unforgivable thing in a list of 20,000 unforgivable things, but I've been mad about it for like 12 straight hours.

WHAT IS HAPPENING AND WHY IS SHE COSPLAYING AS A NORMAL PERSON?
I'm actually shocked. Good on Dana Bash for asking the question, and I genuinely would not have expected Greene to answer the way she did.
BASH: We have seen these attacks from the president at other people. It's not new. And I haven't heard you speak out about it until it was directed at you.

MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE: I think that's fair criticism. And I would like to say, humbly, I'm sorry for taking part in the toxic politics.
