Concerned citizen. Average Joe. "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." Dangerously close to being an insufferable Reply Guy.
It seems like some folks are trying awfully hard to prove your point.

Man, it ain't even consistent with what he said yesterday!

Friday is batshittery day. Everyone knows that. Trump Gaza? Sure. Backstab a democratic ally fighting against a brutal dictator? Why not. Maybe tomorrow he'll issue an EO disbanding Congress.

In light of the disgraceful behavior by the president and vice president, every elected official, Republicans and Democrats alike, should step up to speak for freedom and the truth. If you're elected by the American people, you have some standing to try to save what can be saved of America's honor.

I think we have to agree that JD is such a sniveling little bitch.
ZELENSKYY: Putin broke the ceasefire. What kind of diplomacy, JD, are you speaking about?

VANCE: I think it's disrespectful to come into the Oval Office and try to litigate this in front of the American media

Two people disrespected the United States in the Oval Office today: President Trump and Vice President Vance.

One person spoke in the best of American tradition: President Zelensky.

I know I have avoided making contributions specifically because I know I'll just get hammered with obnoxious spam. I'm not fond of a cut going to some shithead consultant or middleman either.

Shit is about to get real wild.

1990s Seattle was a hot bed of conservativism and the birthplace of the Tea Party movement.

This is DOGEs mission. Government enforcement, not efficiency. The plan is to undoubtedly leverage all of the data they're collecting to purge any folks in government who might object or impede in any way. New hires will be evaluated for ideological purity by DOGE.
The DOGE firings have nothing to do with “efficiency” or “cutting waste.” They’re a direct push to weaken federal agencies perceived as liberal. This was evident from the start, and now the data confirms it: targeted agencies overwhelmingly those seen as more left-leaning. 🧵⬇️

This was always the end game. With Patel's confirmation today, this will accelerate.

I remember the simpler times when Russia was unequivocally the enemy. The Russian government hasn't changed, at least in respect to its desire to undermine the West. That only 61% of Americans acknowledge that seems like a Russian victory.

This is the cold, hard truth.
The disturbing part of Trump declaring himself THE KING isn't that he did it, it's that his followers want him to be a king. They've completely abandoned the fundamental precepts of democracy in favor of total centralized control by a new American royal, because they both hate the same people.
Trump calls himself “THE KING”

That's the beauty of Trump. Everybody is fully aware that he is full of shit, so you can take something he says as fact when its useful to you and dismiss as "Trump being Trump" when it's not.

It's a war against critical thinking. Journalists, scientists, academics are trained to look at things critically, set aside preconceived notions, and look at the evidence before them. That's detrimental to an authoritarian government that does not intend to act in the people's best interest.

At least 4/10 Americans are all for this shit. I honestly don't think there is anything that will change their mind.
February 19, 2025 at 7:59 PM
Its more "own the libs bullshit" and when pressed, Rs will say the left is being hysterical. At the same time, Trump will keep playing footsie with the notion, while consolidating enough unchecked power to make him de facto king.

Tyranny requires your fear and your silence and your compliance.

Democracy requires your courage.

So gather your justice and humanity, Illinois, and do not let despair overcome us when our country needs us the most.

Its a forgone conclusion at this point that the US under the Trump admin is going to cut Ukraine off. You sure as hell can't trust Trump to defend Ukraine. Ukraine has no incentive to indulge Trump any longer. Best they can do is get Europe to up contributions.

Good to know I'm not the only one who has looked into this in a moment of paranoia that is looking more and more rational by the day.

At the risk of stating the obvious, an organization that is unwilling to name the individual or individuals calling the shots is pretty fucking nontransparent.
