Fun Tariff Facts: during the depression the US lost access to many imported paper products. They were replaced with an unusually tough paper stock made of hemp from the Philippines (then a US colony, and tariff exempt).
Anyway, that’s why they were, and still are, called Manila folders /

The NCHC was formed out of conference realignment, when the Big Ten added hockey in 2013 and took its teams from the CCHA and WHCA.
The leftovers from those leagues formed the NCHC and have won seven national championships since then, while the Big Ten has zero.

These pictures don’t do it justice. It’s Slaughter Beach because of the horseshoe crabs that get flipped over by the tide and can’t get back up and die. Also, it’s on the Delaware River, not the ocean
