Also attempted to read The Secrets History but called it quits at the first hundred pages. Just could not get into it and found the prose and the narrator irritating. #BookReview #DidNotFinish #BookSky

It was sooo windy today but I braved outside and was rewarded with a headache. At least the sunshine was lovely!

Finished Shards of Glass by Michelle Sagara. I really enjoyed aspects of it and other aspects I felt dragged on or were quite confusing/convoluted. Overall, I was satisfied but not sure I'll continue with the series. I adored Raven and her whole backstory though. Very interesting and cool. #BookSky

That’s not freedom, that’s cowardice.

I deleted Instagram in protest of Meta and showing up prominently at the inauguration. But is it better to be loudly protesting on those platforms than to abandon them? I don't know.

Food insecurity is ALWAYS a political choice. Famine is ALWAYS manmade. People go hungry because of other people’s decisions. We have more than enough food for everyone, and enormous amounts of it are wasted—literally thrown in the garbage—on purpose.

Just finished Mockingjay and I feel like I fully absorbed it in this re-read. What a poignant series. I hate that it is so relevant today. #BookSky #BookReview #HungerGames

Those of you standing in long lines for municipal elections in Alberta today:
1) stay in line; your voice matters
2) the long lines are a direct consequence of the conspiracy-driven policy changes brought forward by the UCP government (and not your beleaguered election workers); be kind
