The Black Panthers were accurately describing the US as fascist in the 60s. That's how far behind you are if a dictator moving troops in to occupy cities & arresting his opposition & disappearing people is just clicking as fascism for you.

It seems like “release the list” has become a fantasy for people who feel helpless for different reasons. Even if it were right in front of everyone, it wouldn’t enlighten us about what we already know is horrendous. Furthermore, who’s supposed to enforce the imagined consequences of being on it?

BREAKING: A federal judge reversed National Institutes of Health's terminations of hundreds of critical research grants that were canceled because of their alleged connection to disfavored topics, including diversity, equity, inclusion, and gender identity.

This is a major win for public health.

Today in the retirement community I write poems with weekly we looked at poets who wrote through the AIDS epidemic of the 80s through early 90s. We had a conversation about the politics of care & remembering, resilience, and loss 🙏🏼
