‘Where is the Glock?’ Gun turned over to Chicago police wound up in the hands of a teenager
The Chicago Police Department has used gun buybacks to get thousands of guns off the street, but at least two of them have resurfaced at crime scenes.

NFL should do away with the draft and instead require teams to make offers to rookies like they do other players. Develop talent pipelines to facilitate the process. No good reason why the best quarterback in the nation every year should be sacrificed to the Browns. Could be great for the CBA

Glad to see murders down in Chicago but the "fewest killings since 1965" line obscures the fact that close to a million more people lived in the city back then. chicago.suntimes.com/crime/2026/0...
Chicago records fewest killings since 1965, despite Trump's attacks against the city
Overall crime continued to drop as the number of murders in Chicago decreased from 587 in 2024 to 416 last year, when scores of federal immigration agents flooded the city and President Trump repeated...

Isiah Whitlock Jr.'s performance as Clay Davis embodies the essence of every two-bit political crook I've ever met or written about. That special blend of charisma, cowardice and selfishness wrapped in a suit and tied together with a smile. One of the great villains in American life

“It turns out that banishing the slur from public discourse was, in fact, important. Because now it’s back and it turns out that it does matter when subtext becomes actual text, when terrible people enable open hatred and bigotry, encouraging others to emulate them, degrading us all.”
Perry: The return of the r-word
"These days, the r-word slur has become a staple of the American right wing, uttered with few professional or social consequences," David M. Perry writes.
